The charts included in this bundle are for use in testing ISO 16505, Road vehicles — Ergonomic and performance aspects of Camera Monitor Systems. The specific charts are described below.
• ISO-16505-Color – This color chart uses eight colors (R, G, B, Ye, Cy, Mg, black, and white) based on the X-rite “ColorChecker” chart as specified. The color patches are arranged to keep an even distance from the image center with complementary colors on the opposite side. The background is a diffuse ~18% gray.
• ISO-16505-Gray18 – This 18% gray chart design is a single tone gray chart with >98% uniformity.
• ISO-16505-Gray70 – This 70% gray chart design is a single tone gray chart with >98% uniformity.
• ISO-16505-Grayscale – The grayscale chart is outlined in an earlier version of the standard for luminance measurements. It can be analyzed by the stepchart module.
• ISO-16505-CB – This high contrast ‘chessboard’ (checkerboard) target is for measuring distortion and magnification according to the specifications outlined in the standard.
• ISO-16505-SFR – The SFR chart is made up of five high contrast slanted squares designed for measuring MTF of the system.
